I recently re-read one of Jofie Ferrari-Adler’s great Q&A’s—this one with agents Julie Barer, Jeff Kleinman, Dan Lazar, and Renee Zuckerbrot. It’s from 2009 and focuses on fiction, and it’s fun to see how little has changed when it comes to the basics (queries, selling, editors who inexplicably don’t return phone calls(!!), and the critical process of revision), and what their views were on ebooks and the future of reading in the early days of Kindle.
